First grade students will use the Paint program to draw a picture about their favorite part of the fall season.   The students will then use a word processor to write a short story explaining their picture.

Third grade students will use selected websites to make a bar graph in math and then type questions about the graph using a word processing program.  Students will present the graph to the class and print out the questions for their peers to answer when looking at the graph.

Third grade students will go to selected websites about the water cycle.  Their research findings will be made into flip-books using a word processing program.

Third graders will use an online dictionary to find answers to words they need clarified when reading books in their literature circles.  

Third grade students will research selected websites and an online encyclopedia to research the state symbols of Montana.  Students will type their findings in a concept mapping program (e.g. Inspiration).  The documents will be printed and shared with the class.

Third grade students will go to selected websites to research the seven continents and five oceans.  Students will use a word processing program to type their findings and print their documents.  The documents will be cut and placed on a pumpkin to display their findings.

Third grade students will use an online dictionary to look up new vocabulary words in their reading novel.  The new vocabulary words will be used in sentences typed in a word processing program and printed.

Third grade students will use selected websites to learn synonyms.  Students will use a word processing program to create flashcards with synonym pairs.  The documents will be printed and shared with the class.

Third grade students will use selected word processing websites in order to learn proper typing procedures.  Students will become more familiar with the keyboard and its functions.

Third grade students will go to selected websites showing how to write a friendly letter.  Students will use a word processing program to type a sample friendly letter to their parents.

Third grade students will use a digital camera to take pictures of snow outside.  Students will use an online thesaurus to work on word choice when creating a poem about the snow.  Pictures will be printed and a word processing program will be used to type the poems.

Third grade students will use PowerPoint to present information learned during their life cycle unit on animals in science.  The presentations will be shown to the class and printed out for students to take notes on during the presentations.

Third grade students will use a word processing program to type a script to make short videos of examples of bullying to show and present to their peers.  Videos will contain the correct ways to deal with bullying behavior.

Second grade students will use a digital camera to take pictures of a winter scene at recess to then be used for writing poetry.

Second grade students will use Inspiration software to diagram specific information they have learned about a selected dinosaur they have researched. The students incorporate images to enhance their document.

Third grade students will use an online encyclopedia and selected websites to research Native American tribes in Montana.  Students will use a concept mapping software program (e.g. Inspiration) to display their findings.  The concept maps will be presented to the class.

Third grade students will use a concept mapping software program to develop a board game to be used as a culminating project for a novel.  Students will use a word processing program to create playing cards with ideas from a novel and game instructions/procedures.

Third grade students will use I-Chat to interview a teacher and students from another school.

Third grade students will write e-mails that are sent by their teacher to authors after studying their stories/novels.

Third grade students will watch their teacher demonstrate how to use instant messaging software to ask a high school science teacher questions about the water cycle.
