Highlight the http:// address for this page and copy it by depressing the “apple” and “C” key. Click on file and click “new window.” Paste the address into the new window that appears.

Create a Slide Show with Clip Art in Claris Works

· Go to www.google.com

· Find a piece of clip art that might be useful in your classroom by typing in

“clip art” + ______

(for example “clip art” + pigs)

To copy clip art from the Internet:

Using a Mac:

Using arrow, select graphic.
Select and hold mouse key down and drag to copy image.
Open Claris Draw document.
Paste (either go to Edit on the tool bar and click on paste or use Apple “V” command.

Note: Instead of inserting the image into a document, you can put it in the Scrapbook for easier access.

To access the Scrapbook, click on the apple in the upper left corner and drag mouse until you highlight Scrapbook.
Paste image into the Scrapbook box.

Using Windows:

Right click on the image you would like to copy.
Left click on the word copy.
Go to the document that you want to put the image.
Right click where you want the picture. Left click on the word paste.
To be able to move the image around in the document, right click on the image and right click on format picture and again on Layout. Right click on the dog that says Tight.

· Open a draw document in Claris Works and paste the image into the document.

· Go to Format in toolbar at top and choose document.

· Under document type in “4” in the window that says pages down. This will establish 4 pages in your slide show.

· Under Window in your toolbar, select page view.

· Go to one of the sites below and find another image and paste it into the same document on a different page.

· Continue locating and pasting images on all four pages.

· After completing this go to the next page of your document and set up a slide show (see below).

How to Set Up a Slide Show in Claris Works

1. Open document and create the pages by writing, drawing or inserting graphics. Use a draw document if you plan on using graphics or drawing.

2. After completing all the pages for your slide show.

3. Click on Windows on the top tool bar and select Slide Show.

4. Choose Slide Options.

5. Click on Start.

· Using the Internet create a shared reading by finding and copying a poem and inserting a clip art.
