Wines

Welcome To The World Of Wine

Novice and experienced wine enthusiasts alike will enjoy these classes where you will learn the basics of wine beginning with where it is grown and how it is produced to the comparisons between new world and old world wines and what types of wines are produced regionally throughout the world. You will sample wine paired with catered appetizers during each session taught by Simply Wine owner Sue Rydquist. The first three sessions will focus on new world wines with course #59 being an introductory course, course #60 focusing on California wines and course #61 teaching you about wines of the Great Northwest. Course #62 begins your education in Old World wines and how they compare to New World; course #63 will focus on French wines and where it all began, and #64 finishes up with Italian, Spanish and German wines. Each class will be different but will build on each other. Recommended, but not required, that you take at least the whole New World series, course #59-#61, or the whole Old World series, course #62-#64. Must be at least 21 to register and produce identification at class. Non-refundable fee includes wine and hors d'oeuvres, and must be paid at time of registration. All classes are held at the Billings Education Association, 510 N 29th St., across the parking lot (north side) of Lincoln Center.
