Pottery-Wheel Thrown Clay

Seminole Quilting On The Serger

Dust off those "working" sergers and let's do some Seminole quilting on them! Make a Seminole quilted section to be appliqued to a ready-made placemat or use the section to make an elegant checkbook cover. Drawing is the basic fundamental of all art and can be an art unto itself. The class will provide instruction on drawing materials and various techniques, emphasizing line quality, values and "drawing from the shoulder." Basic laws of perspective will be covered. Creative Floor Cloth And Placemat Painting

Learn how to make rugs, placemats, tablerunners, and mats for pet food dishes out of canvas. These rugs add color to your home and are great to walk on. To clean them you simply wipe them off with a damp cloth or paper towel and mild soap when needed. They last for years! You will learn many painting texture techniques and you will learn how to transfer a design that you may wish to paint. No artistic talent is needed. Learn how to transform old furniture into beautiful conversation pieces. Simple repair work will be taught as well as many techniques that add texture and color to your piece. Artistic talent is not required. Patchwork Christmas Balls

Participants will create colorful Christmas balls for their tree. These balls have an "old-fashioned" look and are so easy and inexpensive to make. Small pieces of cotton fabric are glued on to Styrofoam balls and then decorated with rickrack, ribbon, etc. You can use prints of your choice; instructor prefers calico or Christmas prints. Paper Mache Bowls

Paper Mache is an art form that satisfies the sculptor, the painter and the crafter all in one easy, inexpensive project. You will create a colorful bowl, plate, or tray out of torn newspaper and flour paste. Once you learn this technique you will be able to apply it to create many things. Calligraphy

Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. Enhance your creative memory albums and your rubber-stamping with your own calligraphy.
